ABOUT TTONN

Creating art is like writing a diary for me, I express myself through my work as life unfolds.

As a result, you will find that my style and the choice of medium is ever changing and evolving. My artwork is reflective of the different stages in life I pass through, the multitude of emotions experienced and the new stories to be told. Sometimes an earlier style may reappear on this journey, or it may never occur again, as life moves on to a new stage of development so do I.

TTONN come from my full name Tan Teng Onn (陈定安). Since most people call me Onn (second word of my given name) I decided to cut short the first 2 words by only using T. I have been using this signature since the year 2000.

Created a set of digital art in stamp style. all look COOL!!!! oil based digital paint on A4 size (210mm x 297mm) Silk Coated Card. On the market for sale now.

The pastel work that I done finally get them frame!!! Have to say it cost a bit, but worth it to see them look nice present and protected.

Honeypot Cafe finally back in business, but in a new location. by the end of November I will have work display in the cafe. EXCITING!!!

The Canterbury Earthquakes have inspired me to create a series of artwork from the earthquake rubble that my friends and I collected from old Christchurch buildings that have collapsed or got damaged and have being demolished since the February 2011 earthquake. I had set a number of 50 pieces for this series and I called the series “Piece of Christchurch”.
